Reefer 350 Leaking from Main Drain!

Bringing this thread back, I am having this same issue with my Reefer 350. I don’t see O-ring in my valved pipe, just a thread

Check YouTube for “Red Sea reefer o rings” and you’ll see a video of where they’re supposed to be. The setup should be the same for all sizes.

I replaced all my orings before I set up my used 350... You might take this opportunity to check all the connections.

I had this exact thing happen to my Reefer 250. I drained the overflow box, didn’t run a sump until the new pipe got here. Pretty easy. And yes, operator error here.

Unfortunately, in my case, the overflow had a slight separation along the back tank wall, so even when drained, it would slowly fill... just be prepared. Ah the things we do for our hobby.

Also, you might think about putting a bubbler in your sump or running your return temporarily back into the filter sock to keep the sump and any life in it viable.
