Reefer 750 vs IM 200 vs waterbox 220

Looking at buying my dream tank. Was set on the IM 200 but with 30 inch depth I think it’s going to be to wide for the space intended. The reefer is 25.6 deep but 2 inches taller than the IM. The waterbox is new on my radar. I want the 6 foot style tank in roughly that water volume. Help me make a decision. Pros and cons or any info you want to throw out there!!

Red Sea 750XXL, S-850 or Cade equivalent. I have a Red Sea 750XXL and while I'm biased I'm also very pleased with it. Waterbox I've heard and keep hearing too many horror stories with respect to QA issues that customer support refuses to resolve.

I was initially set on the IM due to the eurobracing. The reefer S is to far out of my price range even though it comes itch a nicer stand and sump.

Would like to see if there are some owners out there who have some input on components, build, longevity and perks of any of these systems.

I vote IM. I am biased. Not with that out of the way... I could not be happier with my IM ext200. You mentioned the euro bracing. That was one of my driving factors for this tank too. It is internally eurobraced. Super clean look. I was shopping for the big 3 WB, RedSea, and IM too. All are great tanks. What it came down to for me was the ultra clean look that the IM tanks have. The included mesh top disappears when you put it onto the euro bracing. The dimensions, for me, were great. The extra 6 inches front to back is amazing for your aquascape. You mentioned that may be in issue for you and where you want to put the tank, so maybe that is a deal breaker for you. The RedSea S-1000 came out and almost swayed me but the cost was higher and they still dont have a full euro brace. The smoked glass is a nice touch though. Check my tank out if you like and if you have any questions about the tank, I would be happy to answer them for you.

I believe I am following your thread already as I’m still hoping for the IM! But if I go that route I’ll have to go with the INT to save space. The eurobrace is really my only limiting factor as well as the extra 4 inches in width.

I have a 200 int coming in next week , eurobracing is nice and the top is convenient. Also you can reach the bottom of tank with it being 3 inches shorter..I used to own a 750 xxl

That was also a thought. I’m 6’2 so I would probably be able to reach either way but two inches I’m height makes a difference. Cost is also a factor though. Being roughly the same upfront but would have to purchase the sump which would probably end up being a thousand behind where I would be if I went Red Sea.

Ya I ordered mine in sept of last year lol It was like 800 less then and I just got a fiji sump during black friday deal so it worked out . I did have the money from selling my old tank so money wasnt that much of a factor but I can see how it's important for sure.

I have S-1000 but I like IM 200 ext peninsula.I am not biased

I’m wondering if I am over thinking the need for the eurobrace? The longevity for the reefer has to be there or they wouldn’t be selling so many. I know the previous issues they had with the stand but with the new brace they are sending out with the stands would a non eurobraced tank last as long as a rimless?

I had a rimless tank, well I still have a rimless tank I should say. I bought it because the look so clean. When you actually work on them though they are a little sloppy. Water spills over the edge and I found myself constantly cleaning. That is what is so nice about the new RedSea S tanks and the IM tanks. You can get the euro bracing that keeps the water and fish in without sacrificing the rimless look. You have a black line at the top, but it is all glass, no frame.

In another not do all the Red Sea 750’s come with the V3 sump and how are those with that finding the configuration of the sump?

The leveling feet on the Red Sea stands are nice. I already had a nice level and solid floor but not everyone has that available.
I actually contacted IM about the leveling of stand before I ordered.
I believe that the newer Red Sea sumps are compatible with their new filter roller. Some might need to be modified to use the filter roller.
