reefer 750xxl flow

so i have been running my new reefer 750xxl for the past 2 months but for some reasong the water just goes through the socks i have this white stciky foam and it just stays in the sump ive lowered my vectra l2 down to 30% do i lower it more?

I have had some residue deposit in the sump but it is from the dry rocks (i.e. sediment).
