Reefer831's Eye Candy!!!!!

Thanks! That Loripes was completely white when I got it.....most stuff collected from Fiji comes in that way...I cant wait to see it fully colored up...I think a nice top down would give it more justice :)...here is a pic from when I first got it

How long have you had you loripes? they are such a cool coral...yeah I love deep water more then any type of stick...I really miss my old simplex collection...post a pic of your loripes so we can see it :)...I think that purple one is a lokani...I have had it for a while and is a stunner in the tank.

The green one is a space invader pectina...I feel the same way when I see fish I cant have :)..... time for you to start up an LPS tank :)

Those are awesome. I recently got an inch frag of the space invader for free from a friend. Wonder how long it will take to grow out like that!

It seems to grow fast once placed in a spot where it is happy....the trick is finding that spot and it not taking out everything near it...I have to throw my colony almost behind my scape so I never see it...such a shame...the frag in the pic took about a year and a half to get that size from a frag...

What up Andy, we met at the first and last Monterey Reefers meeting. I just finished cycling a Nanocube and thinking about doing the nano in 90. I saw your comment and remembered you mentioned your thread. Getting more into reefing lately so I plan to start posting more as I go through. I moved over by Steve, who I need to reach out to as well for some plumbing advice, but if you ever plan on being around his place it would be cool to talk tanks. I'd love to get some photography tips as well. How have you not got POTM yet?

You've got some gnarly reef-keeping... wait.... no.... reef-GROWING skills!

Okay - I spent the last hour pouring through this entire thread, and couldn't find any mention of your filtration / husbandry techniques.

Any chance you could share your methods?

Skimming?
Algae Turf Scrubber?
Clean-up Crew?
Dosing?
Coral Feeding?

All the little things you do, to maintain such a stunning reef is worth EVERYTHING to us aspiring reefers

It is always a treat checking in on your tank and your photographs. There is something so incredible in seeing well growing, incredibly colored up corals growing in a reefers tank. Its inspirational but mostly it is just mesmerizing staring at your beautiful pictures and beautiful coral. Keep the pictures and updates coming, it is a delight. And 60,000 fellow views agree.
