Reefers in the tri-cities.

Lol we have a tri-cities here in WA

I almost said "ya a local person!"

Nice to see a reefer close by...where do you get your livestock at? Hard to find much locally.
That's very true, there's a place here in johnson city called village pets, although its nothing to write home about he has about 10 tanks with various fish and little to no coral. I do most of my shopping in kingsport actually. At pet cove and sea oddities i'm sure you're familiar with them lol.

Haha yes I am very familiar with them. I prefer sea oddities personally. Fish usually in great health but it's not often they get new stuff in. Pet cove has more selection but frequently see dead fish in their tanks so I stay away from them. Although I did get a super flame angel from them...I see myself doing more business with them in the future since they moved closer

Yea i was just over there yesterday petcove always has more fish but like you said seem to have more dead ones, the workers or owners don't seem to be very social as well. the older man and his daughter at sea oddities always talk to me and socialize. just yesterday we talked for 45 minutes about my latest scuba trip.

Yeah they are both alright stores but sea oddities gets my business 9 times out of 10. I Have been in and out of the hobby for the last 3 years. I have only had like 2 or 3 fish die on me from there. Petcove probably had 5/7 die on me when I first started an said no more. QT is a must for anything especially from there. I shouldn't say this but I get all my fish from sea oddities now and don't QT them. Been successful so far. Nothing from petcove is going in my tank unless it's a coral from there reef tanks. Those tanks are ran seperately from the fish only tanks from what I can tell so livestock in those are in a little better shape.

Yeah in and out. Right now I have a 125 gallon reef. I pasted the hyperlink in my signature for my tank build you can check out. Pretty basic and the tank is young right now. Just got a couple black ice clowns, a firefish, about 4 LPS corals, and about 5 different zoas right now...going to move more towards sps I think down the road.
Actually posted it for sale for now as a whole because wanting to start pharmacy school next fall and I don't see the time or finances being available then. So just going to try to keep working on it and leave it up for sale incase anyone becomes interested.

Alright I'll let some friends know your thinking about selling. I've got a 265 I'm just starting to put coral back in. It's been running for almost 4 years and I've got a 55 mixed reef tank I'm phasing out. Trying to consolidate tanks is a hard process lol.

Wow a 265!! I would love to have about a 240+. I bet that tank will be a beaut. Do you know anyone that has some coral frags that they want to sell? I would like to get some different stuff than the things I can find around here locally. There are some decent pieces I come across but usually colonies and way more than I want to give when I can get a frag of it for probably 80-90% less than what they want. My tank being so young and empty its a great time to load up on frags.
