Hi everyone!
My husband got our first tank about a year ago. We started with a 72 bow front. He has always wanted a saltwater tank... which has now turned into both of our addiction and tanks in almost every room! Its been fun reading the forum and learning. This is an on going learning curve and the longer we do it the more I feel there is a learn about making the tanks even more stable and healthy. We have never had a major algae problem as my husband with his degree in biology is very into making sure everything is balanced!
Our tanks:
1. I have my first tank a 4 gallon Nano... which I have filled up and everything and everyone is very happy! This is in the kitchen
2. A ten gallon which is kinda a frag tank with fish! Temp in living room but going to the bedroom soon.
3. A new cycling 40 gallon for me... its long and shallow so it will be a fun reef to setup! This is in our "pet room" with the birds and dog beds.
4. The 72 which just got turned into the fish only tank from a 29 we had that is now the sump on the 40. We have two eels in this one. This is in the dinning room.
5. Our monster.... we just transfer the 72 to a 160 that came with a few fish of its own and everyone is getting along great! Its been a blast watching everyone settle in! This is on our main wall in the living room and I think since setting it up we stopped watching TV.. lol We are going to be trading out some corals in this tank and get more SPS. My husband fell in love with the challis in my tank.
Looking forward to reading and learning more along with sharing what we have learned so far!
