Hello all...this is my "meet and greet" post. Just wanted to say "Hi" to everyone and introduce myself. I had gotten into the reefing hobby about six or seven years ago and after losing my job in 2014, I abruptly took myself out of it since it is not an easy pastime to do while on a budget. Since then, my husband has started his own business and it has been going pretty well. He owns a plumbing business, and we were hoping to maybe display some reef tanks with sumps that he set up, but that is down the road a bit. So, needless to say, finances did not sway me when I had an opportunity to rescue a 30-gallon Biocube with live rock, a few pally corals, green star polyps and a clownfish that had somehow survived six years of neglect. I'll add a link later to the tank's thread after I post it (hopefully in a couple days) with before an after photos. I've had the tank since February, and it has come a long way since then. I really enjoy everyone's posts and comments in this forum, and I look forward to the conversations ahead!

Welcome to R2R!!!

Welcome to R2R!! Would love ‘before’ pics from when the tank was being abused then watch as it gets nicer and nicer! I love rescuing fish and corals from bad situations like that, watching them get happier always makes me feel like a good fish mom!
Thanks for the warm welcome! I am amazed at the difference between the amount of satisfaction I get from rescuing a near-dead tank compared to doing a fresh build. Both are nice, but there is just something about resurrecting what was once dead. Before and after pics to come...

Welcome to R2R and back to reefing. Lots of knowledgable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed. Well done on rescuing the cube.
