I am looking to get a reefkeeper, and one of my must haves is the ability to run an ATO with Kalk. To do this I insist on using a pump plugged into a channel on a PB4 with 2 float switches, A for turning on and off the pump and B for a high level shutoff incase of over flow. Finally sense I will be using Kalk I also want it to shut off pump if PH is to high. Oh yeah and also a max on timer to save pump incase reservoir runs low. I was really hopeing to get away with all this with the Lite, but can be done? or will the Elite be needed?

You can do it with the Lite but I'd go with the Elite due to the ability to add more than 4 modules. Da makes a pump, DP1, that's ok, a little noisey on my setup.

Eric at Digital Aquatics was great getting with me on a solution to the noise on my DP1. I incorporated the recommends and it is now dead silent. I understand that new DP1s going out have incorporated the changes. Great CS!
Thx Eric!

If you have not purchased the controller yet, you may want to consider the Archon. while it may cost more, it is all web based and much easier to program than its predecessors. just food for thought.

I use my lite as an ATO. I have 3 float switches, one that turns on and off the ATO pump. One that is a high sump level shutoff for my skimmer and one in my skimmer cup that turns off the skimmer as well. Easy to setup, works great. Let me know if you need help or have questions.

I will have a RKE system, Head unit, 2x PC4s, DP1, PH & Temp, SL1, SID V.2 and NET for sale if anyone is interested.
