Looking for input on the difference between the Reefkeeper DC1 and the JBWave to control my two Jebao pumps. The pumps are two different sizes. I would also entertain other options for control of the pumps. If you have either of these please post what you like and dont like about them. I was not able to find reviews for the DC1 online anywhere. I was able to find customer feedback on the JBWave website but that was really about it. If there is something else you use and really like please feel free to post that as well!
Thanks
Road

I have seen that one as well. I think you get more control from the two posted then you do from the Jebao controller.

Indeed, thanks for the tips. Those controllers are really interesting.

Wow. Really no one has any input on either of these? Or something else.

I have 2 of the JBWave's coming this week to control the 4 Jeabo 40's in my 120. I'll post what I think of them when they arrive.

Anyone out there using a DC1 or the Apex connections for their Jebaos? What do you think of them?

I have had the JBWaves running for about a week now and I do like them. I went ahead and added a third unit to my order, so I have 2 on my 120 running 4 wp40's, and 1 on my 75 running 2 wp25's. Basically I got rid of the useless Jeabao 'controllers' and a good bit of wiring mess and added real control. I got the usb version, so I have to program with the laptop, but the download was easy as is the programming. It's not even programming, you chose an option and put in a number. Lots of patterns to choose from. I have a real night mode now. They are plugged up to my ReefKeeper's, so I still just hit Standby to feed. I will probably order another for my 40g. I do not have an Apex, yet, but I'm pretty sure there are more options with the JBWave than is possible with the Reefkeeper. I am happy with these units so far, and I haven't even tried all the patterns yet.

I have the cables for my apex thanks to wannareef on pnwmas.org. He has some programming there too posted along with the cables. However I have not hooked them up just yet. Hope to get it done this week.

Anyone else have any thoughts? Anyone have them hooked up to something else to control them?

Anyone using the reefkeeper or apex to control these Jebao Pumps?

I now have them hooked up to the APEX. I love it because the APEX is such a swiss army knife of automation and now controls my pumps. All this controlled through fusion or the local dashboard. This also allows me to plug the pumps in somewhere other than the EB8 if so desired. It is allot of programming of virtual outlet timers and pump profiles, but pretty much a copy/paste operation from the web.

Here is an example of what I tried the first day hooked up to the apex. You can tweak it, and I have, but this is a good starting point. The key is that you can set timers to 'mix it up' and run different profiles periodically. I really like that.

I copied these and modified them from other google searches.

If this can help someone out, that is great.

Virtual Outlets/Timers - Create some 'randomness' or mix it up a little with these timers

PTimerFlush

OSC 120:00/010:00/000:00 Then ON
If Outlet PTimerCalm = ON Then OFF
If Time 23:30 to 04:30 Then OFF
If FeedA 000 Then OFF

PTimerCalm

OSC 045:00/005:00/000:00 Then ON
If Outlet PTimerWave2 = ON Then OFF
If FeedA 000 Then OFF

PTimerWave2

OSC 015:00/005:00/000:00 Then ON
If Outlet PTimerFlush = ON Then OFF
If Time 19:30 to 07:30 Then OFF
If FeedA 000 Then OFF

Thanks for the info. Just wondering if anyone else has some input here. Anyone else using the jbwave?
