Hello can some one help me with this, I have a reef keeper light i was trying to get it connected to my computer for use with the myreef software. the problem started when i used a 6pin phone cable to attach the reefkeeper to my computer. the whole system shut down i quickly unpluger the cord and everything came back on the issue is now i just get an itemp error. i have no temp read out any more i tried a new itemp prob with no luck. Please help as DA is no help at all, they take fore ever to get back with you if at all.
thanks Joel

There are two places that will "display" the temp. One is "itemp" which always has the error display for me. The other is where your probe really is. Toggle up and down on your head unit until you find the probe location.

For some reason the RK only works with their "phone cord" I did the same thing at first :)

I tried this once, got it to work but was really buggy. You use the sid their cable and a female to female splicer. The slicers are very hard to find in town and they have to be a 6 pin oh and a y splitter. So you can plug your temp probe in.

Thanks every one for the help. i was able to get the splitter and the correct cable so im up and running the my reef soft ware, but still have no temp read out. coul di have done damage to the sL1 when i used the phone cord to connect. i even tried a friends itemp probe a known good one and nothing i tried a factory reset and no help still no temp read out. and yes i did look at the i temp spot and the regular temp. nothing at all ity just says temp error.
thanks again joel

i did not unplug the sl1, but i did try unplugging the temp from the sl1 and plugging it into the pc4 direct and it dident work.
i even went as far as ordering a new itemp probe and plugging that in with no luck. at this point im thinking i hurt the programming of the system or hurt the out put of the itemp in the sl1 itself.

1. advice for any one trying to set up the myreef software dont use a phone cable bad news.
