I got a reefkeeper lite used and I got it programmed. I just can't change the labels for the ports because I don't have a cable to hook it up to my PC. I have 2 PC4s and an SLX module with an itemp prob plugged into the SLX. It seems to be having a problem where both PC4s are losing power you can hear a click and everything turns off for like 2-5 seconds. Then it clicks back on. It is doing it very randomly I can't every catch it I hear my durso slurping and I run in the room and see everything click back on and the return pump starts right back up.

Any ideas here? This is my first controller and unfortunately there seems to be limited threads open on this controller since it's discontinued.

what mode are the PC4 module sockets under? if they are under a timer, that may be what's going on

I don't believe they are under a timer I have not set up any of them. I tried a factory reset, but I'm not 100% sure it wiped everything because the sockets are still labeled as before. I will check after work!

Never had the issue but @n2585722 used to work for reef keeper. Would be the best bet :)

I had this issue with mine when I bought it used. What is the port labeled as in the program?
they are all labeled different things, skimmer, heaters, return etc. I can hear the click when they go off. It seems to click off both pc4s and all outlets. At least my lights and return pump that I can see/hear

You may have a buss issue or an issue with the RKL head unit. Have you tried just hooking up one PC4 only and see if it still does the shutdown. If not try the other PC4 only and see if that is OK if it is then try the SLX on the system with the one PC4. It could also be a cable and not a module so try different cables between the SLX and the single PC4 and see if the problem is created to test all your cables. Also check and make sure none of the buss ports on the modules and the plugs on the cables are not corroded.

I can start doing this tomorrow since I work from home. I also have another head unit I can try! I’ll try the new head unit first!

Also I forgot to mention that the only way to change names of the modules or ports is via myReef with the system up and running. A reset will not change the names as you found out.

Yeah I guess I need to find the cable online somewhere. And I didn’t find any timers on, but I did change the return pump from auto the just on and we will see from there
