So I have a RKL Controller. I found out recently that Digital Aquatics went out of business last year. My temp probe and heater were working great together until about 3 weeks ago when the temp probe was showing my water above 100 degrees F. Luckily it wasn't that warm and when I put in two other digital thermometers my water temp had actually dropped from a very steady 77.9 to a range of 73-74. I thought the temperature probe was broken so I tracked down and got a new one.

I plugged it in and and calibrated it to the two digital thermometers I had and with in 5 minutes the read out was once again not accurate. So I calibrated it again and again it gave me a misreading.

I'm not sure what is going on with the temp probe as it's brand new. Wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue with this...OR if this is one of the reasons DA went under. Anyway, if you have any help or suggestions to make to make this work I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks!

On the RKL the temp probe uses the buss to connect to a port inside the RKL head unit. Check all of you buss cables between the head unit and the iTemp probe. Also if you have multimeter you can check the resistance of your probe at room temp. It should be near 10k ohms. Do this with the probe disconnected from the controller system.
