This morning my reefkeeper lite failed. I had two lights set up on channel 1 and 4 initially which worked well. I then plugged in another light to channel 3 and tried setting up the start and end time in outputs.

Once I saved, it reset channel 1,3 and 4. I tried to save my start and end settings again but the blue light on pc4 blinks and the module blue light on the right of the rkl blinks but the setting doesn't save. Ch 1.0 and ch 4.0 would use to save as 1.0 but shows 0.0.

Anyone know why this happen and how I'd fix this?

anyone? basically I enter "save" but the system isn't saving my time settings.

Hmm not sure. Have you tried contacting Digital Aquatics?

I would try posting in the digital aquatics forums. Chances are someone has run into a similar problem at one time or another. Also, have you upgraded the firmware on any of the modules recently? Sometimes the updates don't mesh well with eachother.

will do - i havent upgraded the firmware though. all was working fine yesterday till thir morning when i was playing with it

Well from what I know, I use the AUTO setting for my lighting schedules so they turn on to whatever I have my light timers set to or whatever I set for that specific output. I've used the ON setting as well and it did the same thing as far as in turning on at the set times. Hope that helps.

Oh and I have never upgraded my firmware since I got mine which was about 2 years ago and everything has been working fine with no issues. I know my gf was confused for a while when she set one of her outputs and saved it but still didn't turn on. She kept saying her PC4 was busted lol but when I finally got to her house I checked her Mode setting and realized it was set to off. After changing it to Auto, it worked just fine.

Couple ideas. I know channels 1 and 4 are setup to handle more amps than channels 2 and 3. It could just be trying to pull too many amps, or... if they are all trying to turn on at the same time the whole system could be trying to pull too many amps. Just a thought. also are you sure you have the new one set as a light and not as a pump?

Only thing I can think of then is that it is overloading the Amp rating for the PC4 bar

Call DA. I actually did upgrade my firmware and it's the biggest PITA, and I'm not even sure if it's worth it but whatever. Once you get them on the phone, do not let them tell you that once you do this that and the other that you'll be fine; make sure to fix it when they're on the phone.
