I have a reefkeeper lite with 3 power boards and a modular for salinity. I added the 3rd power board about a month ago and now my whole system will flicker sometimes, shutting everything off for a second. It only happens randomly like once a week. Anyone know could be causing it?
I don't have anything big like a chiller. Just a 3 pumps, 4 small powerheads, an ato, a 4 bulb t5 fixture, 300w heater, a blue led, and a skimmer.

I have not experienced that with my reefkeeper, its been running over tw0 years now. Have you contacted customer support?

Yes i did. They responded quickly and suggested i unplug stuff one at a time and see if it stops or it might be a defective power bar

Just a thought but i believe you are only able to connect a limited number of modules on the lite system. In your original post you said you have "3 power boards". I am guessing you meant 3 power bars. I would pull the third/new to the system power bar and see if that fixes the problem. You may also want to check your total amps draw for all your connected equipment. Depending on the size of the 3 pumps your running you may be close to the load limit of the reefkeeper. Or like customer service said you may just have to trouble shoot for a bad power bar. Either way its not a difficult project just inconvenient.

That sucks. And yeah the Lite can only control 4 modules. The OP has maxed it out with 3 PC4 or PB4 and the SL module for ph orp and sg. That is mostl likely not the issue. First thing I would do is make sure all your modules are updated with the current software. If you still have the issue after that then I would start with unpluuging things from the new PB/PC you added to find the problem.

Thanks for all of your help! Ever since i unplugged a cheap led light that was for under my stand the reefkeeper hasn't flickered anymore. There must be a shortage in it or something.

Try adding a surge protector between the lamp and the power bar. Make sure it has a vlamping voltage of 330 volts.
