The Archon was their latest head unit. It has a vuilt in web server. Here are a few screenshots of my ipad logged into my Archon. I am in the process of converting to the Hydros system so I am only controlling my lighting with it now. The first screen is the main screen once logged in.

The GMX.com website no longer works for starting an smtp2go.com account. Anyone have any other ideas?

Since my my post on this subject ive had to create and buy a domain name.
Then go to host gator and pay for service, was like 20 bucks a year.
Then set up my own email on their site and use it in the fields that the net module uses.
Works like a charm.

Do you have a SW5 module with the relay output not in use?

If i sell mine ill have 4 of them.
Ill get back to ya on it.
I don't need any. I was just asking if any of your PC4's you are using have any unused oulets? If they do you might be able to send signals using those outlets to a XS and use it for alerts.

So you didn’t need to use the smtp2go site? Which service did you use for the domain email? I’ve tried doing this once and couldn’t get it to work.

Says right in the quote of mine how it works.
I did have to use it but it quit working.
This thread is two years old.
The only way i can get it to work is create a domain and the use host gator web hosting's email service.
Cost ya 20 bucks for a domain name and 20 for a hostgator account.

You can get a Hydros monitor kit for $300 that will send alerts for pH, temp and a leak. It comes with the pH probe, temp sensor and a leak detector. If you do decide to use it to control something you can get a wifi power strip for it for $40. I posted screenshots of a pH input setup, temp input setup and a leak detector setup on the Hydros. There are notification levels none, yellow, orange and red. You choose whether it sends a email, push notification or local alarm for each level. The you can set the inputs for whatever notification level you want for the input. If you want to see more screenshot and info on the Hydros check out my build thread by clicking on my buld thread banner. The Hydros info starts at post #119. The programming on the Hydros is probably as close to the Digital Aquatics units as you can get out of the available units. I have an Archon which was the top head unit from Digital Aquatics. I was passing signals between the Archon unit and the Hydros unit. It did require making my own cables and also some relays to do that. That is also an option if you can do that.

Yes but did you have to change any settings for the email?

Are there any big differences between the X3 and X4 models?

The host gator website email is the correct type smpt or whatever reefkeeper requires, you create a domain email addy on their website and then pit it in the fields on the net module.
Ive looked for days trying to find another way to do it, all info on the net is outdated and nothing works other than what ive descri ed.

ok awesome, I'll try that. Thanks for the help!

The X4 has 2 pH ports, 4 sense ports, 2 drive ports, 4 0-10v input ports and 4 0-10v output ports.

The X3 has 1 pH port and 2 sense ports.

The X3 can be used as a stand alone controller but most add it to a existing collective to add extra ports. That is the way you add ports on the Hydros system is to add another controller of your choice. I currently have 8 of them in a collective. I do have both the X4 and X3. In fact in the screenshots of the setup the pH and temp ones were on the X3 I have. The other one was on one of the XS controllers. As far as the collective is concerned it does not matter which controller a input port is on you can use it to control an output on another controller in the collective.
