They’re on sale now , I Just ordered one , The First 100 people can get 100.00 of by using “RKLOVESYOU” at checkout.

Also can any official speaker of the reef bot chime in on where to buy replacement parts .
Hello, you can buy straight from Reef Kinetics. Kindly send an email on [email protected]
Happy Reefing!

How did I miss this thread!
RedSea mg is not very stable, if you do it manually or not...

That’s good to know! Also have you used or tested any of the NYOS line? They are currently my favorite for test kits. Easy, good range, accurate, and quick

We’re working on them and on other brands too. We’ll keep you updated!

Awesome! I appreciate all your hard work! I’m excited to see the results of potentially mixing different reagents for all possible tests as well. Finding a way to fit all 5 tests at once would be ideal

The ReefBot can test now for nitrate, phosphate, calcium , alkalinity and magnesium.

We’re working now on Nitrite, multiple
brands of Nitrate and Ammonia.

Maintenance cost is pretty low. Syringe and needle change after around 100 tests, pump heads after approximately 6 months.

Fix me too! I paid the extra $100 as well. :)
@drernesto And I would like to echo the above, very nice machine! Super glad you did all the hard work on this. The software and platform is well designed! I bent a needle on the fifth test, but I’m guessing I didn’t have it vertical enough in the mount?

Five out of five stars so far!

I’ve noticed this on mine too. Not enough to break it but it seems like it’s doesn’t plunge into the reagent vial perfectly vertically. Any way to adjust this? The syringe does look correctly positioned in the holder.

Hoping that Rabih can address this somewhere. The only thing I can think to do is check the needle after installation, and if it's not perfectly vertical try to bend the needle a bit at the base. But that's just by sight and subject to quite a bit of error.

This needle had done four successful tests prior, so I guess it just got a bit more bent each time before it collided and really bent ;Bored

Maybe a solution overall. Would be to change syringe to an actual luer lock instead of luer slip to take the guess work out of it but im sure that would come with a whole host of reprogramming and such. I'll have to look at it closer when I'm not working.

Edit.... Maybe not they do make 1ml luer lock syringes.
For those who are wondering what im talking about luer locks the needle actually twists and "locks" into place on the syringe. This would verify correct installation of the needle.

On my machine the needle and syringe assembly are very tight up against the upper mount for the flange at the top of the syringe. It was hard to get the syringe fitted into the bracket, I had to push down on the syringe pretty hard to get it to seat into the fitting. Once I bent the needle it required pliers to get it back out of the lower bracket where the needle seats. I think the issue is the perpendicularity of the needle itself to the axis of the linear actuator mechanism to move the assembly up and down, not the locking mechanism to the syringe.

So whole syringe not just placement of needle on syringe. Got it. Definitely going to have to check this out better Sunday. Dang work messing with me playing with the new toy.
