Can somebody chime in and let me know if their needle mechanism tilts like this or if theirs is straight and mine is messed up ? I’m setting it up but am nervous to run a test and bend needles if it int supposed to be at that angle. To me I would think it would be straight and not at an angle [emoji17]

Definitely not correct. It should be vertical. Must have gotten damaged in shipping. Contact reef kinetics.

I sat down and watched it test without the cover on. If you are wondering why it takes ~40 min to run a 2 reagent test, I would say ~75% of the time is due to rinsing/cleaning. It takes 15 min to rinse out both chambers and the syringe (it does each several times) and to draw the tank water (which includes flushing the line). ~2 min for the first reagent, ~4 min to rinse the syringe several times, ~7 min to do the titration. Then the last 10 min to rinse everything out again. So you are looking at ~30 min of rinsing, and ~10 min for the actual testing.

My question is, aren't the chambers and syringe clean after testing? Presumably that's what the last 10 min of rinsing does. Then why does it have to go through that whole rinse cycle again when starting a test?

Mine arrived tilted as well today. I emailed customer service and they think it got bent during shipping. They suggested to just bend it back in place so it's vertical.
Happened to me too. Looks like they need to change how the units get packed for shipping.

We already changed our packaging. Please note that it’s aluminum and it will easily bend back.
Please let me know if you face any issue.

Just curious, why would you need to do this?

What I would like are vials with ml markings and the ability to manually set the reagent volume in the app. Not all reagents come with 20 ml worth to fill the vial. It would be nice to know the volume of the reagent you added to the vial (by looking at the ml markings on the vial) and to be able to tell the app the volume of reagent in the vial. Currently all you can do in the app is reset the reagent volume, which then sets it to 20 ml. There is no way of changing that volume.

Curious if the needle plunge depth depends on the reagent volume or the reagent volume is solely for refill notification.

Hello Puffy,

Thank you for your suggestion and feedback. We will forward this to our development team.

Happy Reefing!

I have read about Reef bot and have a question about the needle and syringe replacement. I believe I read they were good for 100 tests. I beleive that is combined tests correct? Where can you get them? And how much are they?
Thanks

You can get them directly from us. please email us whenever you need. the syringe and needles will last more than 100 test id used properly.
In addition, you get 5 syringe and 5 needles with every ReefBot, so your good for more than 500 tests :)

Thanks for the fast response...
What is the cost of extra needles and syringes and are they shipped from Lebanon? If so do you know shipping cost to US?

Please email us on [email protected] with your address and how many needles and syringes you need to calculate the shipping.

Just to let everyone know , it is working great , it wasn’t hard to straighten out . This thing is pretty cool can’t wait to compare some test tonight after work . I bought a floating shelf and installed it near the DT above my ATO reservoir which worked out for me

After a titration test is done, why does it have to wait for the 10-minute rinse cycle to complete before reporting the result?

One suggestion is to have a pop up notification (like results) when rodi empty or waste full... Missed some tests and couldn't figure out why till it popes upon the app only.
