Reefkinetics Reefbot

Just question that comes to mind... Is the sample volume from display tank calibrated to flush the line before acquiring the sample volume, prior to starting the test or is the test conducted with water that has been in the hose? If so is there a manual flush?
Man, I really want of these things I just want to make sure I know what Im getting.

Sure, you can ask any question.
There’s a flush with tank water before and after any test.
There’s no manual flush.

Reef Kinetics,

Would you be able to update somewhere on your website or FAQs some additional info about test kits? Would be nice to have the following info:
- How many vials does the test kit require in the Reef Bot.
- How many test kits does it require to fill all vials completely or detail how much of each reagent is included in each test kit.

So...
As of today, Best test reagents are

Red Sea for Alk (Better resolution than API)
API for calcium
Red Sea or Giesmann for Mag
API for Nitrate (So far, only API tests Nitrate)
Giesmann for Phosphates

Is this about right?

Salifert for alk works well too. It matched my Hanna manual testing exactly. The Red Sea alk is ~0.2 dKH lower than my Hanna manual testing. I may stick with RedSea since it is only 1 vial vs. 2 for Salifert.

Red Sea Mg is off from my Salifert Mg manual testing. Redsea Mg gave me 1440 ppm and my Salifert manual Mg gave me 1365 ppm. Not sure which is correct, but RedSea or Geisemann are the only options.

I am the seeing the same thing with Red Sea vs manual salifert mag test too. I ordered the geisemann mag this week and will compare that next.

I also see the same diff with Red Sea alk and Hanna. It’s close enough to be good with me. I did compare color between the reef Bot app and manually running Red Sea alk and they match up one to one. So I am very confident in the bots procedure.

My Red Sea Alk also reads a tiny bit lower than Hanna. Mine is ~0.3 lower than Hanna. I'll have to give Salifert a try.

I'm going to send in both Triton tests on Monday and will check it against the tests I have (Red Sea ALK, Red Sea Mag, API CA, API Phosphate). We'll see how close it is to their test.

Wao this things looks and sounds legit! I’m atm reconsidering this trident which I will have to upgrade my controller to buy.

After a week of table top testing I am finally moving it to my coral farm setup. So far so good!
