I’m gonna comb over all aspects again , and recalibrate few times .. I haven’t t recalibrated since I first calibrated it last week or so .

Ok I’m going to re due mine but to be fair I did calibrate mine dead on when first connected it . Took few times . I figured that it would hold for some time . I have time today to fiddle

So the ReefBot AND manual testing both showed your PO4 at.03 ppm with them same test kit? That's promising. Did a manual test with another brand confirm the number?

I personally didn't do the test but my buddy did and it is also the same as Hanna ulr.

I have moved my Reefbot to my frag tank for further testing.
All my preliminary testing has gone well. I have been getting consistent readings from all tests.
I have been using API test reagents in the Reefbot and have been checking the results against manual testing with API and my Hanna checkers (alk and phosphate). All results have been pretty much spot on.

Now that the Reefbot is on the frag tank, I will be testing how well the scheduled testing works. Im thinking it is going to work well.
I like how the graphs show patterns and trends. I will soon know how much alkalinity and calcium my tank consumes in a 24 hour period.

The Reefbot will eventually be on my 180 gallon reef when I finish that build.

My wish is for Reef Kinetics to come up with or find reliable reagents that only take up 1 or at the most 2 test vials so we can test more parameters than we're can now.
It would be great to be able to test 8 different things.

My Giesemann phosphates keep reading 0 ppm even though the reagent vial is full and Hanna ULR is giving me 0.1 ppm.

I'm starting to get a little frustrated. Not sure it's reefbot or just all the different test kits.

My RedSea alk has gone haywire. Before it was consistently 0.3 dkh lower than Salifert and Hanna (manual). Then it gave me a 5.3 dkh reading. Thought it was low reagent so I refilled the reagent. Still was getting low numbers so I went to recalibrate. The calibration was off and I needed to redo the calibration like 3 times. Now the Redsea alk is giving me 1.0 dkh higher than salifert. Salifert is giving me up to 0.5 dkh higher than Hanna manual. What caused it to lose calibration out of the blue?

My Redsea mag is giving me crazy numbers too. It's now reporting 1560 ppm vs salifert (manual) 1320 ppm.

As mentioned above, Giesemann phosphate only reports 0 ppm for me. I gave up on that. Waste of >$50 reagent there.

API Nitrate reports only 0 ppm for me (salifert 1-2.5 ppm manual), so I don't really bother with that anymore either.

The only consistent reading for me now is API Ca, which exactly matches my salifert Ca manual testing.

I think my crazy alk numbers were due to a confluence of several factors - low reagents (prior to any notification), loss of calibration of both the test chamber and RODI rinse chamber, and nearing the end of life of syringe/needle (prior to any notification). After fixing all of those, my Redsea alk and Salifert alk are giving me consistent readings again.

I think some of the inaccuracies may be due to needing to refill reagent sooner than is currently programmed, needing to replace the syringe/needle prior to 60 tests, and/or needing to calibrate more often. I'm not sure how long the calibration is supposed to hold for or why it would lose calibration out of the blue like that.

What affect do you think the syringe not being changed would have? The seal between the cylinder and the plunger going bad?

Not sure, maybe inaccurate reagent draws? Currently you are forced to change it at 60 tests. I started getting inaccurate readings around 55 or so? I can't really pinpoint it to that as the only cause though since multiple things were going on at the same time.

Right, too much going on to know exactly what is causing anything. Let us know when it acts up again and see what it correlates with.

I unplugged my unit after 5 hours of it being frozen. I went back to doing the calibrations until I recieved a 3 times consecutive 5 ml for the first and 8 ml for thr second.
Then tried to run an alk test that froze with the ro vial full and needle in the down position.
Still waiting for response from reefknetics. Today is Monday and they are 6 hours ahead of eastern standard time. If I dont hear something. Ill reach out again.
