Reefkinetics Reefbot

I trust it and would absolutely buy it again. It meets my needs.
I believe reagents will get better with time and more options for reagents will become available.
This product may spur the growth of water testing companies to create better, leaner more accurate testing reagents.
Agreed, since release it has already gotten some updates that iron out some minor issues, and they have added test kit support. Eventually I hope someone can start a line of inexpensive reagents to really bring the cost per test down and precision and accuracy up.

Also, @drernesto is a cool guy and we can trust that he will work hard to get nice kits and (hopefully) open source reagents supported as he is able. Thanks Rabih!

Just saw this got added. I have one of these kits somewhere and will have to add it in the spots I have available. I had initially planned to use the tropic marin p04 test but considering it is still not added I'm switching over.

I would definitely buy it again. I've had it since it got released here. It's easy to use, support from the company has been great! Seems to be more and more tests getting added. For the tests Im running: red sea Magnesium, soon to start testing red sea phosphate, and API Nitrate, I don't see a reason to run these everyday like I've been doing. Now that Ive had it running for a month, Im sure Id be ok with these running 1x a week. I manage my alk through a different system and have that automatically dosing. For me, this system saves me time from having to test manually. Is it alot of time to do manually? not really, but its one less thing I need to think of.
Thank to everyone for your feedback. I think what you said right here is what I’m stuck on. I really only care about my alk results and I tend to test daily. Can I continue to do that....sure. But it would be nice to have it done and tracked for me. Also, this may just be a rumor, but I read I believe on reef builders that the future state is for the system to test and dose. So the testing would be really nice and convenient and very useful in itself, but to dose to would be outstanding. Thoughts @drernesto? I’d be in it for the long game.

That’s what it looks like, but the article was from 2018, so I wanted to see if that is still in the plans. Maybe @drernesto can provide insight. That would make it a definite buy for me if that’s a plan in the near future, since many here have already stated you are getting accurate results.

I'd guess they are adding a doser.

Thanks Rush! Supportive customers like you is what keeps us growing. We are definitely working on updates regularly and we have many cool stuff in the pipeline in regards to adding more parameters and brands also add on devices to the ReefBot.

Indeed we are working on a dosing pump and other products.

let Me rephrase. I care about my other parameters as well, but I watch alk most closely. So my biggest gain would be regarding kh.
Alkalinity, Calcium, Magnesium, Phosphate and Nitrate are currently automated on the ReefBot. we are working on other parameters to be added soon.

This is why I asked about it.

“and with the forthcoming connected dosing pump you’ll also get automatic control of up to four different channels of chemicals.”

Yes the dosing pump will be coming. As per the picture in this article, it was a prototype revealed in Interzoo Germany. The number of pumps is not yet finalized.

What do you suggest? how many pumps should we include?

Yes we are working on it and you will soon hear some good news. :)

FYI, BRS has the Tropic Marin Nitrate test kit in stock. You need 2 kits to fill the 20 ml vial.
