Hi everyone

I have reoccurring issues with my ReefLed 50 fixture.

Since I bought the light, like clockwork, 5 minutes past midnight every 22nd of the month, the LEDs seem to disconnect from the app and I get a warning message about the connectivity issues the lamp is having.

The first few times I had to erase the program and reinstall the app to get rid of the connectivity issue.
However, I never really checked if the lights would still work if I did nothing. So today, when it happened again, I waited untill after 10am (that's when the light turns on) and they seemed to work and follow the schedule. Right now (9pm) they are slowly going into the lunar cycle. The app still says the lights are not connected though. So I'm quite annoyed and confused.

Did some of you encounter the same problem? It annoys me a lot as I don't really trust the system right now. It seems to be working, but it bugs the hell out of me.

Any advise? Just let it be?

Thanks and have a great weekend!!

Schedule is "usually" stored in the light for the most part..
If disconnected from the app usually not an issue... unless you want to change things..

GENERAL statement..

Gotcha. Thanks :)

I don't mind not being able to change settings right now, so I'll let it be and monitor how it develops.

Quite annoying that these lights seem to be so error prone. I don't trust the system right now, which makes me feel quite uncomfortable for when I'm out of town

I hear you. I just commented on another thread about the same. It was asking us to update our firmware to at least 1.8.1 (could be newer now) for my ReefLED50 to address the "overheating" issue and disconnections. Apparently, others have reported power supplies included as overheating (checking mine today). I was unlucky enough to have mine included with my Red Sea MAX Nano (which is a really nice tank), however it constantly gets disconnected. I'm beginning to think its a power or thermal issue because the wireless module inside is a simple IoT controller, leaving software and libraries for this in Red Sea's area hard to believe. I'm guessing this is more of a known product and supplier issue they are aware of...
