I recently purchased a reeflo blowhole for my basement return and am just wondering others experiences with these pumps. The pump looked good on paper, but I want to know how it performs for yall in your real life setups. After contacting reeflo directly I have heard that some of their blowhole line is no longer offered which made be a bit skeptical, but with their proven customer service I went ahead with the purchase anyway. I have read about some quality control issues and mishaps due to bad setups or faulty pumps. What do yall end users think of this line of pumps?

They stopped making the Pontiac Grand Prix but people still love them. There are always better products out there. How High do you have to pump and what is your flow rate goal?

i have 4 BH2700. some of the first run units and one of the "newer" black units. I really like mine. reliable, efficient, and quiet. a really great pump imo.

About 14ft straight up 2ft horizontal with on ball valve and at least 3 90 degree turns with either 1.25'' or 1.5'' pvc
flow rate between 300-600 would be ideal

Use 2x45* bends per 90*angle to reduce friction loss

Just got my BH850 set up and running on my new 65gal setup. very quiet! silent! only pushing about 4 feet of head pressure and the flow is not quite what I expected. but should be more than enough. would buy another.

It seems like it would put out quite a bit of flow at 4 feet of head. any idea what its pushing in gph? That doesn't sound like a lot to push against for these pumps. thanks for the info.

The 850 has been running for a few days now and flow is better . I am running two 1/2 nozzles and a brs reactor off the output. just upped the setting too medium about 600gph

I just got a Reeflo Hammerhead/Barracuda pump to go from my basement to the 120 display tank. I am pushing about 15 feet of head pressure on 1.5" pipe with my pump and I needed to use the barracuda impeller because the hammerhead impeller flow rate was too much. I am also running a 60gallon refuge tank off of this pump with 1" pipe in the basement.

I have a Reeflo BH2700 pump on my 90G with 18feet of head pressure and its okay! This pump has 3 settings, the first setting doesn't push any water because theres too much head pressure. Its a quiet pump though and has been going strong for 6 months.

Jeesh all these positive statements make me want to reconsider selling my snapper.

Those running the BH 2700, Are you running 1.5" PVC in and out of it? Do you just have a reducing coupler to go from the 1.5" PVC to the 1.25" end on the coupler included with the pump?
