Hey everyone! i just joined r2r today. So i figured my first post might answer some questions I have! I have a Reeflo Dart i got for 200$, and after i took it home and opened the box i believe its WAY too much for my 95 wavefront build. Anyone have a reeflo? do you like them? pros? cons? setup recommendations? is it quiet enough to go in my living room inside a custom stand with a rubber mat? im thinking about trying to sell or trade it once my month waiting period is over. its never touched water, so i have yet to test it out in case i do want to sell it. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated !

Great pumps. Some are quiet and make the usual humming noise. What is noise to some, is not to others.
What smells to some, is nothing to others.
I ran one with a closed loop on a 125g. It provided most of the flow in the tank.

Watch the seals, if they start leaking change immediately. This is a heavy maintenance brand, ran them for 10 years, but finally gave up on them. Just keep an eye on the seal.
Seals like fish and will eat a lot of the them. So watch them seals *v*

Thanks guys. so for prep i was going to have the entire bottom-inside of my stand filled with shower pan liner with a watchdog water alarm. will this hold the leak for at least 8 hours or are we talkin entire tank on the floor in minutes kind of leak?

I have had one for 8 years it drips a little
I have a newer dart /snapper and hammerhead/cuda both are drip free after 2 years.
