I want to get a barracuda for my 180 but deciding between the gold and silver. What are the differences, pro, cons, etc?

I have the hammerhead gold, the golds usually pull quite a bit less power without sacrificing much flow, since they are on 24x7 you can usually pay back the price difference of the pump quite quickly. I was able to payback mine in less than 4 years and that was to justify replacing a current pump that had not failed yet so the energy savings had to completely offset the cost of the new pump. I have now between LEDS and moving to more efficient pumps completely offset the power increase from upgrading from my 125g to the 240g.
