Question regarding my new Reeflo Hammerhead Gold Hybrid. Does the smaller impeller pump faster than the bigger one that came installed on the pump? I'm having issues where the water pumps into my 220 from the basement but stops before it goes into the overflows on the corners.

I figure the smaller impeller would move fast since its rotation would be shorter than the larger one. I've looked on Reeflo's site for the instructions/manual on it and it wasn't very helpful.

To get it to keep pumping, do I need to take the black plastic cover that is about an inch or so by the fan off and use a screwdriver to make an adjustment while it is plugged in? I read on the owners manual that it could be an issue wear a bearing seal or something is causing it from stopping.

Honestly I would call their customer support and ask. I have not had this problem and do not want to give you a wrong answer. I do know the smaller impeller is the snapper.

No worries, I've been up all night working with about 1-2 hours of sleep and on pain killers. Have an infected foot/toe for the last couple of weeks. I'll feel a lot better as soon as I get this return pump setup and running properly before the fiance's parents come back from Poland this Saturday. The 220 tank is in their living room, I think they'll have a look of shock on their faces. lol!
 
What size line? My snapper/dart has a 1 1/2" out and am running the 4360 gph impeller
 
The pump is 1.5" intake and return. My bulkheads for the return and overflows are 1". I ran 1.5" as far up as I could then converted it to 1" at a 90 degree elbow going to the bulkhead, it T's off to split it between the two bulkhead returns.

What is head height? You may be reaching max your pump only good for 22' you need to fig out head loss
 
You might contact reeflo and give them the specifics and they will tell you if you are ok

From what i see in the video you have too much head height. All factors vertical length, horiz run, every elbow, union, ball or gate valve, check valve, line reduction, check valve all add to head height. You may be at or very near max
 
Figured it out, it was pumping water too quickly and grabbing air then it would stop. I added more water in the sump and went up stairs to see what it was doing. Everything was working as it should. Except it was putting too much water in the tank. Going to get a ball valve to slow down the fill of the 220. Glad I unplugged the return pump in time before I had a flooded upstairs and my fiance's parents come back this Saturday, I would of been screwed! BEER TIME! lol

Glad you got it figured out and only put the ball valve on the discharge side of the reeflo. Also you might want to switch out the impellers to give you less flow unless you already have the barracuda impeller installed on the pump. I have this pump and I have about 16-18' of head on a 210 gallon tank and the hammerhead setup was pushing too much water for my taste/comfort so I switched to the barracuda setup and all is good just ball valved the exit back slightly and it's great and uses less electricity this way!
 
Great news that you fig it out. Yes ball valve or gate valve output of pump to compensate for drains. Same could have been done with bigger drains also
