When did Reeflo start not sending the second impeller? Such BS. And of course you can’t call them.

Bad pumps anyway. If you haven't installed it yet I advise you to send it back. Mine has failed 2 times and then I sent in for repairs only to have them say not repairable and send me back a bunch of part that weren't mine. Lot's of time and e-mails later and I'm just out of luck. I unfortunately have another of the same pump I just put into service. Had I know these fail constantly I'd have re plumbed the system and chosen a new company.

They are actually really good pumps. Old and true and reliable.
Downside....they are loud and warm the water. Lol.
D
Put mine in service and seal failed under 1 year. Then again failed less than 1 year after new seal. Then sent to reeflo and was told the pump was beyond repair. Also Reeflo sent and old bad volute (The side with the threaded connections) and a cracked impellor back saying these were my parts. The other side I assume was mineas it's not dust covered. They used a cut off wheel to remove the bolts on the volute ruining it. So the wet side is no longer of any value as well. They also printed and placed new serial numbers on the old crap parts. So NO they are not good pumps nor is it a good company. They are seriously poor pumps. Want the e-mail? Pics? Video? Hell I'll ship it to you so you can tell me how good they are. Maybe the old ones were good. The new ones are not. In fact the one I purchased to replace the leaking one is showing signs of failure ate the seal after a month. I'll never buy anything from this company again.

Did you get the baldor version? Those are the ones made in the US. So far mine is running great. They did send the other impeller right away.

Reeflo = crap.
That pretty much sums it up in my view. I can only try to give the information I know. I'm no writer but I think I told the story well enough. I knew better the second time but didn't want to re plumb. Now I'm re plumbing and swapping out pumps because I can not trust Reefflo.

Honestly I don't know which motor. I'll try to find out. Both impellers were in the box. Also be advised that Reeflo has an odd stance on warranty. It seems that the warranty period starts when the build the pump. What a disaster.

First pic is of new pump failing. The white sprinkle stuff is bad. The orange crud is worse. The dried salt is due to small leak that stopped with an extra 1/8 turn on the fitting, tha is obviously not their fault. This new pump is not leaking yet but the stuff tossed from the shaft is the sign it is failing in under a months use. ( in fairness I'm not sure if it under a month, but it is under 2. Time gets away from me). Second pic is the production plate. I don't know from this what motor version it is.

Pic 3 is both halves of the volute. the ugly one with the gasket is mine. The other side is the one they had laying around.

Pic 4 is the failed seal.

pic 5 is the production plate from the "old" 3 years pump production plate. (still don't know what pump it is) Honestly don't know why it matters as the seal is the issue.

pic 6 is the fan side of the old pump. I have no idea as to why it needed to be damaged to remove the fan. Whoever worked on this was a hack. Like cut off the roof of your car to install a shift knob kinda hack. Rip down the light fixture to replace a light bulb hack. Burn down the building to get rid of a mouse kind of hack. Just a guy that's intentionally bad at his job. Or just tired of working on poorly designed pumps. Who knows?

pic 7 is the crust shaft on the old pump.

I assure you this pump was not obviously leaking and I ignored it. I was in that area under the tank 2 week before I walked across my wet carpet.

The pump was very quiet the entire time I had it in service. When I sent it in and they told me it was shot, they said it made a loud noise. After I got it back I agree it NOW makes a loud noise. So in their estimation everything failed at the exact same time?

I also assure you that I am a bit of a jerk when people do me wrong. I'm never a jerk in the beginning, middle or end. I wait until it's so over I'd rather die than do business with you again. I'll never do business with them again. If they want to send me a new pump, I will decline. My integrity is worth more than their pump. They offered me one for $145.00 and I decided they could keep it.

For all that have good luck with them you have my jealousy, because I was fleeced twice. Burr its cold.

Idk why I even come here anymore and listen to ppls problems. Check your pump every now and again. Sorry about your pump.
D
Under a year since re seal. I guess I should have pulled it apart and checked it monthly? Weekly? Daily? I don't know. I was in the area of the pump 2 weeks prior to finding wet carpet. I acted as soon as I knew. The new pump is already showing signs of failure at under 2 months. I have the side of the stand open now so I can watch it daily. My feeling is that a pump should be pulled and cleaned once a year. If it fails before that time how would I know? I kept a close eye on it after the first new seal but then thought problem solved.

I understand that yours is working and you love it. I'm just saying my experience has been crap. Good day
