it's that time of the year bulb change I've been a long time fan of Phoenix 14k HQI DE Bulbs but have been hearing great things about the reeflux 12k bulb please help make my decesion easier!
Just wondering if I could gather opinions on these two bulbs is is true that the reeflux is more on the blue side what about intensity if you have experiance with both of these bulbs please give you experiance or what you prefered and if you only have experiance with one of them and experiance with others please let me know your experiance if you have pics you can post that would be great thankyou!

That's so funny ... I was ABOUT to type out the same post ... lol ... I will be tagging along! I have a 250W HQI (DE) Fixture with Phoenix 14K's ... I do LOVE the look of them ... especially since I don't run my actinics with the Halides on, but I have been very curious as to trying the Reeflux! I have seen some tanks in person with them running ... but most were 400W SE's.

yellow(RF) vs. white(PH)... Reeflux will give your more growth.. some corals will look better under reeflux some will under pheonix. Its a matter of preference or trying it out. I would go to a LFS that has them most use either bulb if not both somewhere in the store. I personally went from 20k which was awesome color but I didnt get the spectrum i needed so I switched to pheonix and corals grew better colors my water was whiter so I added an Reefbrite LED and voila I got the best of both worlds. Blue and 14k lol

My reeflux 10k bulbs are color shifting on me, and they don't match up. So if Coralvue won't warranty replace them, I may try the Elos 14k bulbs. They are fairly new, and not too many reviews. I also don't like the too blue look, so 14k and below is where i want to be.

Yeah I was also thinking giving them a try my supplier just got them in would like to here some experiances with them first though does anyone have experiance with the elos 14k bulbs

I ran both (250DE HQI) for 6 months+. I would characterize the Phoenix as being more blue than the Reeflux. My main issue with the Phoenix is that it really casts everything as a shade of blue and corals towards the red spectrum just don't pop. The Reeflux, in contrast, really brings out the greens, blues AND reds. I like the Reeflux although they don't seem to last that long. I'm now running the EVC 20k (supposedly the same as the Helios 20k) and after adjusting to the overall blue I'm really liking it as I've gotten good growth and the colors definitely pop.
