Reefmat 500 or 1200 new to rollerr

Hi i have a 200gallon but having space issues under the tank right now will a reefmat 500 be too small for my tank i have a low bio load 10 fish and coral barebottom tank

With 10 fish you'll be fine with a 500. The 1200 lasts longer with the larger fleece rolls, but if space is a premium go with the 500 (I run a 1200 on my 200-gallon but also have 47 fish).

Yea my issue is sump space is not big i would need to chame my whole sump

It's even tricky getting into my 750XXL sump (some disassembly and maneuvering required!)

You could use either. The 500 roll will need to be replaced more often, but it’ll work.

I'd recommend a 1200 with the amount of flow you should be using on a return pump for a 200g.

If the GPH from your return pump is too much for it, it's going to overflow via the top and won't be able to correct/work properly. Can cause issues to your ATO and such too.

I would suggest another product brand. Look at the reviews on BRS. They are having issue with their sensors and motors. I am personally on 2nd motor, 2nd sensor, and still having issue....

I guess gph on return has some what to do with it, How low is it in from the water line. Any pics ? I’m still working on a 100g 40g sump with about 10 fish, abt 800gph pump set at. I have the 500 but thinking abt 1200
