So I just got a reefmat 500 for my tank and it doesn't fit in the sump where I wanted to put it. Could I remove the 2 baffles and just have the reefmat and skimmer in the same sections or should I resilcone the baffles to make the 1st chamber bigger. Thank

Remove them there only a bubble trap.. they serve no other purpose right there… those 2 pieces of equipment will compete and both run lesser than than their real values..

Ok thanks, thats what I thought, I'm pretty new to the hobby, still tring to figure things out

Keep the ones on the right if you can! Those set the water level and keep the evaporation in the return pump chamber and again act as a bubble trap. Without the ones on the right your skimmer will never work right without constant adjustment due to a fluctuating water level in the entire sump.
