maybe just maybe if you come up to see the tank a frag might fall off

I just passed the Salmon Creek exit on I-205, I assume you are the Longview/Kelso exit, should be there in 25 min.

You want to add a Sohal Tang to your tank, I'll trade for a few sticks, its about 5-6"
Text me, I got a chevron too thats on the short list

cool build!

Thanks!

I'll have to post an updated full tank shot now that I have been able to get those colonies and frags off my sand bed with the addition of the new frag tank(s)

The Sohal and Chevron found new homes over the weekend and all is pieceful once again on the reef. My 2 bar rabbitfish is out doing what it wants (now that the Sohal isn't keeping it under "lock down" ).

I picked up another Labouttis wrasse to replace the one that jumped somehow through the screen last year. Its eating well and doing fine.

And lastly, the copperband is eating like a pig and is just doing his thing, like I said all is peaceful again.

Oh and the dwarf lionfish is just full of character, eats out of my hand and swims right up every time I go to the tank.

Do you still have that monster linkia starfish?

Amazing tank and page,
How long does it take you to grow a 1inch frag into a nice mini colony of about 6-7 branches or inches. I feel like my sps grow super slow.

No I ended up giving it to Jeff, it wasn't liking my tank or I should say I couldn't provide for its needs. I'm going to have to push my visit back, I lost a week and still playing catch up.

Thank you very much!

It varies on the acro but I'd have to guess a 9 months to a year if we're talking freshly cut 1" frag.

I've got a few frags all acquired at the same time and a few have barely grown while others are the size you described.

I've a few trades Ive been working on a plan on actually keeping a growth log going forward to get an exact answer to your question.

Sorry for delay in replies, the last 10 days haven't been good, actually the last 4 have been, the prior 6 not so much-family medical emergency took me out of town, the night I live the house loses power 80% its was a messed up time.

Fast forward to today and all seems as well as can be.

I want to post a few updated pics, I re-did a small portion of the display since I was able to get out all the frags and mini colonies and into the most recent added frag tank which allowed me to add some rock etc- you'll see I'll post "before and now" pics

Thanks

updated tank pics

Took a few pics before things change a lot-tough to focus-I need better glass:squigglemouth:

Looking Real NICE!!! I'll have to swing through on my next trip (you to Roy) and see them first hand. The new setup seems to work better for what you wanted and i see a few less fish:whistle:.

Thanks D, I still owe you a frag of the Aqua Delight too.

Lets say the reef is much happier without the Sohal and the Chevron. I did add a Labouti and a pair of Hawaiian Flames tho, but everyone gets along just fine!

Save some room in your cooler, I'll send ya home with some extras

It's good that's there peace now in your Reef! Is the Blue jJaw still kicking sand around haha?
I have some room now after the STN purge haha. Thx man I'll text to arrange a time that works for you.

Tank looks beautiful. I can only wonder what an awesome sight it must be to stand in front of that tank and look at the gorgeous coloured SPS corals. Your success with LED's is quite phenomenal and IMO your tank matches the high calibre SPS tanks lit by Radiums. Keep up the great work. :D

Thank you sir! I used to run Radiums before the LEDs-Those a great lights too.

LED is just going to evolve and continue to get better IMO. I do get a little color morphing compared to MH, but "what if" LEDs came before MH, the MH would be the ones morphing corals  .

I've seen certain corals morph under T5 and I've not seen many corals come from the ocean that look like they do after they have been in a sytem for 6 months, regardless of what type of lights.

Thanks again for compliments, but to be honest, I like standing in front of my frag tanks better-there are more beauties in them than my display.

I'm gradually moving and rotating out pieces and colonies I've looked at for years but its tough to decide what stays and what goes-:mmph:

Never heard it put like this before, but I agree with that statement. Change is always hard for some people.

Looks great i see the anemone wall is working for the time being :)
