Bare with me as this is my first build POST. ( Not Tank Build) This will be a on going post as I slowly get things together. For now enjoy what I have and will update as soon as I can.! I have made this stand about 2 years ago and I had a 36g corner tank, but now I have change that and have gone to the 25g lagoon tank but I am going to reuse the stand. I liked the dimensions of it and the nice finish look to them.
Here is my stand, I have built it to always be in the corner. I have 2 large doors to access inside the stand. I have left the 2 back sides open so I can run cables through and also for ventilation. As you can see in the photo i have 3 small cut outs on top of stand for cable to run down from the tank and into the outlet inside the stand. ( I have seen the inside of other people stands and i couldn't deal with the door hinges rusting so quick and also the salt creep everywhere. With this being an open concept I haven't replaced my hinges yet and when I would have Salt creep around my old set-up sump it was easy for me to clean it up.) This time I plan to run the 25g lagoon with no sump. The only thing that will be inside the stand will be my electronics and a 5 1/2 gallon tank for my ATO (fresh RO/DI water)

Alright so that is my stand. Now on to the tank and what modifications I have done to it. Everyone knows what the 25g lagoon looks like and if you don't then look it up. I have upgraded the pump because i am going to run a hang on the back refugium on this system. I am going to have that unit to grow cheeto & cocopods. So with that being said I took the stock pump out and replaced it with the ''SICCE 1.5 model.'' Along with adding the refugium to the system I had to made a new plumbing plan. Here is the picture of what it was when I first got the system and to what it looks like now.

So ill try and explain what end of the plumbing goes where. Hopefully i don't lose you in this and if i do, don't worry i'll have finished picture later in the thread and that'll make more sense.
1==That bottom black "Y" barb is where the return pump will connect.
2==That white "T" barb is where the water will flow back into the 2 tank nozzles.
3==Lastly the tube that goes into the PVC will go into the HOB refugium.
Now with the tank having a black backing I went ahead and spray painted the white PVC black. So i can give it that clean look. I do have a PVC valve in the refugium that i can control the flow.

Now for the Filtration! I will keep the 2 socks that it comes with and in its original position. BUT....yes there is a BUT , I have looked around and seen what the prices were to replace the filter socks and it was expensive. I do not like to throw that kind of stuff in my washer so I want them replaced when they get dirty/clogged. I have came up with a way to make my own socks...I have made 45 socks for the cost of 15 dollars. CANT BEAT THAT!! SO in this picture i have shown the "Stock" style and the way I have modified. Yes i still reuse the plastic part that hangs the sock on the edge of the tank.

Now this tank is currently not running, Due to waiting for my dry Tonga Rock to come in from BRS. This tank should be done(up and running) by
Christmas.
Yes i have test this system with water to make sure that the modification I made worked. And YES it did work! Now for the equipment list that I will have on this system is .....
1=Sicce pump for return pump
2=ChaetoMax by Auqa Gadget for my Refugium light
3= 2 MP-10 powerheads
4=Osmolator 3155 for my ATO
5=Jebao 4 head dosing pump For dosing(when needed)
6=2 AI Hydra 26's For lights
7= Apex Jr. and 1 EB8 expansion for controller. ( This will be the first time owning one and running it for this system)
8= Aqueon heater
I believe that all i got for now or at least i can think of. but of course once i get my shipment of rock from BRS i'll be posting more and keeping you updated. As of right now i'm not to sure what i am going to be putting it as far as fish and coral. But stay tuned!!!!

You will have some good light power at hand with two hydras on that tank

Agreed , my Tonga rock comes in next week. 12/14/17 so around that date I'll have everything powered up.

Nice, looking forward to seeing it running, as I have a Fusion 20.

Thanks! The fusion 20g is what started getting me to look into the Innovative Marine series

So great to see so many Lagoons popping up! Which Sicce are you using for your return pump?

[QUOTE=" I think these tanks are good, just have to know what you are doing. Here a few pics of my tank.[/QUOTE]

I agree and that's a awesome looking tank ! Are you running a skimmer on you system ?

Get yourself a Tunze 9001! Its been quiet and flawless for me.

Could you post a picture of yours( back chamber area near skimmer) , reason I ask is because I am curious on how much of the skimmer collection cup shows. I couldn't find a picture online

Here are some shots, the top of the tunze sits flush with the top of the tank. Check out my thread for more photos, I dont want to high jack your thread haha

Thanks for the photo and I definitely will check out your thread ! It looks like you have the skimmer located in the middle chamber. Do you think it would fit in the second chamber, because that is the only chamber I have open as of right now.

It will not fit in the second chamber. Not sure how full your middle chamber is, but ive seen people modify the 9001 and glue the magnet on the long side of the skimmer and it gives you greater flexibility on mounting wherever you want in that middle chamber.

It does appear that dimensions wise the Reef Octopus NS80 will fit but I haven't really heard squat about them in terms of performance or reviews. Personally the only other option that was appealing to me is the Reef Glass Skimmer, but I've hear the air pumps that are needed to run them are loud which is why I ended up with the DC 9001.

Yea I don't have any room in my middle chamber due to having to keep the pump in the centered and having all this plumbing lol

I did exactly what you did with the filter socks a few months back and they work great. the IM socks were impossible to clean.

Project update * this tank will not be up and running by New Years due to the Bulk Reef Supply store online couldn't fulfill on my rock order and by the time they did , they were out of stock again. So here's to the next couple weeks of looking at an empty tank
