Do you think the thunderstorm feature has anything to do with this? I've heard it really freaks out the fish.

I only left it on for a few days, was turned off before I put the fish in the tank.

A quick update for you guys. Everything is going great, have a few frags in the tank. A Picasso clown, 1.5" sail fin tang and a 3" melanurus wrasse. Water is still a bit cloudy, no idea what it is. Best I can do right now is cell phone pics.

A few more for you, the actual color of the lighting is much whiter that these pics. The hydras look really great over this tank.

Nice find on a quality used tank. Like everything you did and good save on the stand. That came out pretty nice with the veneer.

:help:Need a little help. My remaining clown has been staying near the surface in either front corner of the tank for the past week or so. The other 2 fish seem happy, swimming with no signs of stress. kinda has me worried, anybody have any experience with this?

So as things are settling in I have decided I would like to expand my filtration and water volume. In addition I would like a quarantine tank and frag tank. I think I have com up with an elegant solution.

I have com up with a display frag/refugium combo with an attached qt on a separate loop. I would love to see some examples of awesome macro for the refugium, Haven't seen to many display refugiums that knock it out of the park.

I would love to get some R2R input!

Great idea! Very sleek design; I'm loving your setup more and more. Can't wait to see this new build/add-on come to life. Would you build the stand/cabinetry you have designed out? Or where would you get it built? I haven't really seen any spectacular macro/refugium display tanks but bet it can be done. Especially with all the great looking macro algae out there. In fact I think I just saw an article on reefbuilders about a new blue macro algae coming from ORA.

Thanks! I am going to build it myself, hopefully have it done by the summer. I'm thinking of doing a DIY led in the hood for the different sections, or maybe some stunner strips. I saw the press release for that Ora blue macro, can't wait to get my hands on some.
