Reefwave 25 on small nano tank?

Got a reefwave 25 for cheap and from what I can find it's very quiet. So I wanted to use for a bedroom nano tank. It's a waterbox 15 peninsula. According to red sea I can be used on a 1 foot tank, but the guy selling it was doing so because it was to much for his tank.

So anyone with this pump that have experience with it in smaller tanks? I'm a bit afraid to just throw it in there, since the nano is on hardwood flooring. If I get a mini tsunami I'll be in a spot of bother ;Smuggrin
