Third and what I think is the final design of the scape!
This is my solution to the need to use both holes in overflow for drains! Just up and over into the overflow then out the cutout with the stock loc-line. Had to upgrade to bigger pump to make up for the connections and 90's. Painted the whitem PVC parts gloss black along with the durso and emergency drain. Really blends the plumbing into the background and I think it cleans up the tank a lot.
Lack just 2 fittings to connect Rio 14HF return pump which I hope to get in the morning. Making RODI water as I write this. Gyre 150 and RO NWB-110 skimmer are in place! Also need to rinse 40b of Carib Sea Special grade reef sand and build a filter sock holder. Hope to be cycling by Sunday night!!

Not sure what happened but the text should have read more like this:

Ok.... Gotta brag a bit. This Marineland Cornerflo is virtually silent! Just below the wier in the over flow there is a formed radius that silences the falling water.
The tank sits right behind the dinner table and 10 feet behind my recliner..... And it is SILENT!!! Wife is very happy about that. Many people complain about the Rio pump being noisy but once the air bubbles purged it's silent.
Dosed ammonia and some leftover Bio-spira. Gonna grab a shrimp today and let the cycle run.

BAM! Crisis averted. Cut out all the return plumbing and replaced with clear vinyl tubing then reposition the pump to take strain off return hose!
Suppose all the restrictions and choke points were causing too much resonance and vibration.

11 days after starting cycle, shrimp is totally dissolved and ammonia is at 0.25ppm ( saw 2ppm 3 days ago ) and nitrites are 2ppm! This cycle is moving along a lot faster than the last tank. Hope to set up my QT this weekend!

Tank update: Shrimp dissolved totally a week ago. Ammonia spiked to 2ppm prior to that then dropped to <0.25ppm and nitrites were at 2ppm for nearly a week, then today only 18 days after cycle start....I've got 0ppm ammonia, 0 nitrite and nitrate 10ppm! I have never seen a cycle go this quickly, so I'm a bit skeptical so I dosed ammonia to 1ppm and will recheck tomorrow
Got the materials to build a canopy to match the stand, also got stuff for a QT stand. Hope to start both this weekend.
Dropped a power filter pad into tank to seed some bacteria to get the quarantine tank running. In hindsight.....not sure why I didn't think to start the QT first.... but I didn't. It's gonna be a simple 29G, heater, power filter, WP-10 and T-8 Reef Sun and 50/50 lighting for now. Ive heard of adding cheato to cycle a tank. Would this work in my QT, as I would need to QT cheato ( for seeding pods) anyway? I suppose if the DT is actually (lightly) cycled then I can simply transfer 30g DT water and the filter over
Will T-8s be enough to keep corals alive during QT period?
How long to QT cheat, CUC and corals? Standard 10 weeks?

I'm back for an update. Been busy with work and the tank! It cycled really quick! So I set up my QT with Bio-Spira as well and today I was able to transfer my first fish a medium clownfish into the DT. The QT is actually got more life in it than the DT. It's got about 200 pods and a little six armed starfish about 3/8" around.
I've got some corals I got from [HASHTAG]#aquasd[/HASHTAG] in the tank. They were dipped in CoralRx and went right in the tank. Frogspawn, Duncan, monti and zoas are doing great other than the hair algae that has exploded from the frag discs. One acan died the first week and the other stopped opening and began receding this week. The freebie blasto ( I think? ) has never opened like the pics I found to ID it but looks the same as the day I got it.
All parameters line up save the ph which has been low @ 7.8 the highest caused from excess CO2. So to combat this I tried Kalk with insufficient results and Alk climbed too high. A scrubber was not an option as soda lime was $200 a bucket. Next step was to plumb a fresh air line to the skimmer. As of tonight before lights out PH was 8.0 it's working. May add some flow to the sump via power head to see if I can gas off more CO2. But if not 8.0 is fine.
I added some cheato to the sump but didn't like it floating around leaving little stand that clogged the pump screens. I happened across a "cage" of sorts on here that I considered with my first tank but never built. When I saw it and the way he used it I had to have one to see if it worked my self. So here it is....
I'm hoping it will take up some of the CO2 but I'm not sure how all that works or info have enough to make a noticeable difference. Either way when it grows I can just trim it back and maybe get some LFS credit!
Ordered some pods from [HASHTAG]#algeabarn[/HASHTAG] today. Hoping to build up a population to support a Mandarin Goby and Red Scooter blenny! I built a brine shrimp hatchery. Which works well but I don't want to depend on that to support the dragonets.

Tank is chugging along. Not sure where it came from but GHA is covering everything. I had just diatoms starting then added corals and the GHA quickly grew on the frag disks and despite scrubbing it off out of the tank it rapidly grew on everything! So I invested in another piece of equipment! I wanted an ATO first but this took precedence...
The out of the box quality is great! Very sturdy, simple to install, dial in and change media. ( I pulled the canisters off after running a bit just to what kinda mess it made during maintenance...and nothing! Every equipment related reason to delay maintenance is non-existent. I used a Rio 1400 ~300gph I had laying around but I had to choke it back by half so it's definitely over kill, but it works. Now just to see if it curbs the GHA!
My frogspawn and Duncan are doing great, which surprised me but then I noticed the back side of the frogspawn was missing ~5 polyps and I noticed one of Pep shrimp was hanging out in the cave just behind it! So I looked it up and apparently can be common with peps. So I made a trap and put em both in QT. The guilty party was captured within minutes of setting the trap! While the second one was more skeptical, but finally gave into temptation after 24hrs!

Peps are in the sump. Blackout, snails, good sand vaccum and the reactor all have eliminated the algea.
Added some more rock... Scape just didn't cut it for me.
Sump is out. Tote performing duties for the moment. Had 5 prices of glass cut for baffles so I can partition the 40B sump for a refugium. Also gonna add a float valve ATO setup while I've got it out.
Here's the guy (probably girl actually) that started it all, oddly enough kids still named it Marlin!
I only wanted one but the wife talked me into 3 new fish there still getting used to he tank but they are all over the caves and hiding spots. So I think my scape is adequate in that respect.
