Sponges filter water, most (all that I've read) references suggest they are good for the system. Some people promote their growth.
I clean them from my sump
Up to you. I syphon it out with a hose, but I clean my entire sump.
I have had other tanks where I don't, either way I don't feel it should be an issue.
If it was to die in the tank, it may add to the bio load.
It is posible its a bacteria, but it looks like sponge to me.
and whats yalls best way to get your daily dosages for alk mag and cal? was told to bring levels where i want them then wait a week then test and divide what i used by 7?

Your consumption is likely to change with time, I make adjustments every few weeks, as coral mass increases, so does consumption
