I have been using a Hydrometer, two to be exact, and sometimes the readings are wildly off the charts for each of them.
I have read that a Refractometer can be more accurate and give you better consistency, and can be recalibrated every three to four months, or as needed.
What brand name and model number do you recommend for a good quality refractometer? I am not looking for a cheap one but not a a $1,000 one either.

Thanks,
Dan of Troy

I use the basic Bulk Reef Supply refractometer. It is consistent and holds its calibration. I think it is about $40

Have been using a Vee Gee refractometer for many years. Highly recommend them for accuracy and longevity.
