So, I might have dropped my refractometer in my tank...
Doing a Hyposalinity treatment and need to a accurately get my salt levels down... Does anyone have one I can borrow?
Or maybe the calibration fluid? I have a salinity probe, but it isn't calibrated.
Need it asap!
Thanks

Any solution that is verified calibration can be used for a reference. If you have the correct level in your coral tank then adjust your meter to it.

Calibration is when you test something to a known value. For instance, DIWATER has a SG of 1.000. So you can calibrate it to 1.000. If your solution is 1.026 then you set at 1.026. So for an emergency I would set it to 1.000 when testing DI Water at room temp DI Water.

I understand that.
But my reef angel only let's me calibrate the probe to 1.026, or 35 ppt.
Which I don't have any fluid that exactly at the level

Randy Holmes-Farley has a recipe for making up your own calibration fluid. I use it and its quite simple but I dont have it in front of me at the moment
