I recently messaged Hanna Checkers comparing my calibrated refractometer vs their new calibrated meter. Just wanted some other scientific opinions?

Environmental researchers testing for salinity almost always use a conductivity meter, but I have actually been a part of a research endeavor that used a hydrometer as well, so I think it all comes down to which tool fits the situation best. I use a refractometer because I am mixing the same salt, with the same RODI water, every time and I know that things are okay because all of my coral "say" so after every water change. If I was changing salt brands often or using tap water, a conductivity meter might be a better tool for accurate results.

I completely agree on using my corals as the judge, thanks for input!
