Hey guys I have a 60 gallon rimless marine cube tank has been running for alittle over a month I have a 65 gallon protein skimmer hangon on my sump the sump itself is a 15 gallon now my question is can I put a refuge in this sump I have not sure if I set it up wrong or what but here are the pictures I was wondering if the last empty small box with the carbon filter pad would be considerable if I boxed off the pad and made it into its own box I'm attempting to buy a mandarian in a few months so I want to start growing podes no room for a separte small tank any tips?

any place with good flow will be fine for the chato as long as it doesn't go into the pump. If your going for pod production pull the sock, you need to get food into the sump for them.(yes you will have to vacuum the sump)
whats the big empty space on the right?
personally I would pull all the pads so the little bugs can move as they want to.

So pull the sock for food to come through got you. On the right I'm not really sure I was just assuming it was a small refuge kinda built in but it's so small didn't really work out haha? I have 2 2-3 inch damsels in the tank now to help cycle would they be okay in the sump or would i have to rehome them as well?

Leav em. Check out melevs reefs. Hes got many great examples of sumps and fuges to get some ideas from. He also has a great write up on MAndarin sucess

Store recommended them for starter fish due to hardyness they're very shy very nocturnal rarely see them and they pick pellets and flakes off the floor rather than knowing it feeding time... It's like a day job making me sure they're still good the tanks still young so I'm waiting to put my main fish in damsels were only $8 a piece so went with those. Regretting it horribably...

Going to try a pair of clowns in a week or so gonna trade em back into the pet store no biggy.
