So I have scored a 20 gallon tank with filter, glass lid, heater for $12. I really only care about the tank and lid. My question is, how would I plumb it so that I can put it above my display tank? Here is a picture of where I am thinking of placing the tank. I don't want to drill the display tank or 20 if I can help it.

Ideas? Thoughts?

You need a small overflow in the Refugium and a pump in the lower tank. The display in essence becomes the sump.

It needs to marine rated. Some parts can rust. But any will do really.

You'd most likly have to put a pump in the display tank and run a line from that up into the 20, then have some sort of overflow to take the water from the above tank down to your display tank. Its basically the reverse of installing a sump. Think of your display tank as the sump and your sump as the display tank, and plumb it as such.
