Refugium Build Question

I'm thinking of turning half of my frag tank into a refugium and have a couple of questions...

1) I would need to put a partition in the middle of the tank to separate the frags from the section that holds the chaeto. Would egg crate work or should I add a piece of glass/plastic?
2) I'm currently using a Reef Brite Led/T5 combo. Would that light work for the refugium?

that coould work- chaeto chunks will flow through egg crate and might get annoying mixing with frags, so i would install two partitions and stick foam in between and get a couple to keep switching and rinsing them out as needed with r.o water ,,,the light will def work to grow if it grows algae and frags already, the only other suggestion -i would connect another tank (10-20 gallon and a separate cheap20$ grow light off amazon and overflow box with return pump in the refuge buut i get it -your trying to refuge on a budget

Thanks for the feedback, I don't have room for another tank so I'm trying to figure out a way to make it work with the frag tank
