Refugium clean up crew

Any clean up crew specific for refugium. Its got lot of detritus and now some nasty circular build up on the baffle thats spreading. I have chaeto that hasn’t grown at all in 2 months.
Tips please

I never had cheato but ones i seen are at top of water and spinning with the flow ( got to adjust flow or add some kind small power head for this) so detritus less chance settling on it etc.
Some even put it in a egg crate cage.but sure more experienced chime in shortly

Not enough nutrients getting to your chaeto would be my wild guess. My sump cuc consist of worms, sponges and pods but detritus still builds up. Something I clean out every once in a blue moon. The circles on the baffles look like a form of coraline to me

I got the chaeto gro bottle, will start dosing. But shouldn’t it get enough nutrients from the tank?

Yea I was thinking phosphates and nitrates. Or enough flow from the display to keep feeding it these nutrients

How much flow is the fuge getting? My sump has separate drains and just a couple small slots to feed the fuge. Had a hard time getting chaeto to grow. And bad detritus build up as well. Cleaned out my fuge area of my sump the other day and drilled some extra holes to allow more water flow. Worked like a charm. Lot less buildup and charro already doubled in size in a matter of a couple days. Check your flow and increase if possible.
