So I picked up a 125G and I always do a DIY baffle kit for a aquarium. I’m just wondering what size tank so I go with for the sump/refugium. Any advice would be great. I can find the kits easy. But just wanna determine what size tank I should use for a sump. Ty

60g breeder would be perfect and a good size for that tank. Would also give you a decent soace for a fuge in the sump

I did a 40 breeder on my 75. I love the big space. I did just a refugium with a skimmer though.

Two ways you can go. the biggest you can fit under your stand, that will give you the most stability with water volume. Or measure out your equipment, refugium, and DT tank overflow space and go with that. More water volume means more stability yes, but also means bigger water changes, more additives, etc. Smaller sump equals more room for things outside your sump, reactors etc.

See, if I had a big tank, with a big sump. I would be doing this ^ My sump would become another DT... Then would I need a sump for a my sump/DT? Would that become a frag tank?
It would never end!
