I have a red sea max S650 and I would like to know how I could create a refugium in the sump. My tank is only about 5 months old, but I would like to control the phosphate and nitrate levels using a refugium. Not sure how to create this in the sump that came with the 650. Thanks for any help.

I would cut up some plastic egg crate, connect it together use zip ties to make an area where the Macroalgae will sit and position a light above it. I would advise against Chaeto though and go with some other kind of Macroalgae because there's way hardier and faster growing Macro's out there over Chaeto.

Does it need extra flow or should the flow within my sump be sufficient

Refugium area's usually do best with high flow, some people dedicate powerheads to them if they think the flow is too low, and lighting should be moderate to high.
