My tank is a 60 gal with a 30 gallon sump. The refugium runs the length of the sump and dumps back into the return chamber.

I run ulns and just recently I started to get big amounts of froth like material and cyano bacteria? Wondering why.

Nutrients are low/ zero via carbon dosing.

Any ideas thanks!

Sounds like it could be a flow issue....anyway you could add a small powerhead to the affected chamber? See if it helps.....

Bubbling in the area will cause carpet algae to grow. Kind like having your own Algae Turf Scrubber, light and O2 will get you algae that will take care fo nutrients you thought were not there.
