Refugium light and what to do for new sump

Ok so just about done building my new 20gal long diy sump. So I want to set the center chamber with chaeto. So I have currently running a wet dry trickle system and taking that out and placing the new sump. I was either thinking going through algaefarm for a new complete fuge set up OR use my current bio balls and add some marine pure spheres or blocks as well. Then adding some copepods. And anything else I need in the fuge. So what does everything think? Also what’s a cheaper version for light either really cheap fluorescent light bulb and clamp it somewhere or some type of led light from Lowe’s or home depot. I would rather go led if I can find something cheap enough. Something under $50 would be ideal. Thanks for any input.

this is what I use. It grows chaeto quite well. I’m happy with it. It does run really hot. No fans for cooling. It’s hot enough that I wouldn’t touch It purposely. I think it’s somewhere around 60c.

I also have this led light from aqueon original light that came with my tank. Idk if I could use this?

i think the aqueonlight is too long and you're gonna get algae in the sump in places you dont want...the fiji cube kit i got for my 20L sump has black baffles to try to prevent that... my home depot has plant grow spotlights in stock 9w (about $15) 16w ($20) and 30w($49)....i have the 16w on clamplight

i think the aqueonlight is too long and you're gonna get algae in the sump in places you dont want...the fiji cube kit i got for my 20L sump has black baffles to try to prevent that... my home depot has plant grow spotlights in stock 9w (about $15) 16w ($20) and 30w($49)....i have the 16w on clamplight

It may be a bit overkill for your small fuge but your chaeto will like it. You'll just need to make sure it doesn't spill light to the rest of your sump
