Would I be crazy to use this for a refugium? 45 Watt LED light on Amazon - $28
Has anyone else used something similar?

Not at all :) there is another user on here that just a couple days ago posted about one of these. He's pulling chaeto out of his fuge weekly. It hits the red and blue spectrums for Chlorophyll A and B perfectly :)

I have a buddy who uses those to for his orchids that are out of bloom.

I’ve considered using one for a fuge, but they’re quite large and only have like .2 watt LEDs if I remember correctly.
I decided to go a different route.
