Hello,

I just bought a hang on the back refugium for my 40 gallon tank it is a large cpr aquafuge 2, I have some chaeto in there and will be getting some marine pure block, phyto and copepods. Would this clip on light work well for growing chaeto? I am trying to keep it pretty compact. Thanks

I’d say that would work fine. You may want to consider the innovative marine light for better spectrum and output but it’s also double the price.
personally I went with the ufo grolight but that’s way bulkier than what you’re looking for

Thank you! The innovative marine light is definitely something I may consider if it is worth the investment over the one I linked.

I believe that lights spectrum is more geared towards a freshwater refugium, there are many inexpensive marine fuge lights and many deals on quality used ones as well!
