what is the best light for a refugium? My tank is about 100g. Was aiming towards AI Prime or H160 Tuna. Thanks in advance

Was in a similar situation as you and decided i wanted the best of both worlds....the spectrum from both the pink grow lights and daylight spectrum, with the ability to control the intensity. Kessil H160 and Kessil Tuna Sun, 80 watts of super wide spectrum lights.

the fuge will be no more than 10g. my tank is a Red Sea P500. Water may be 8 inches

You have plenty of options. What type of algae do you wish to grow?

just chaeto mainly for nitrate & phosphate and to grow pods

Any on the horticulture (Pink lights) are pretty good at growing chaeto.
