Refugium light

Is it okay to use refugium light to my main tank? I mean I have 2 tanks (10 gallon each) top and bottom and I have diy sump from other side and running with same water, I would like to put my dragon’s breath at my bottom tank and use a refugium light to it with 2 clownfish, is it okay?

yes it will be fine. The fish don't care. If you want, start calling your 2nd 10g a planted salt water tank or a display macro tank and toss out your refugium constraints.

what kind of light is your refugium light? Most refugium lights are designed to grow Macro algae...mostly in the red spectrum. I would NOT use a refugium light for my display..... unless you plan to grow all other algae with it.

Chaetomax 2in1 refugium light is the name, I have dragon’s breath to grow what do you think? And will add some macro algae soon like feather or whatever will works, do you think there’s a chance to grow any macro algae without adding something? If I have refugium light?

I used to own a Chaetomax for my Nuvo 20. It has the preferred red spectrum for grow macro algae. Again, I would not use this light for my display. It will grow your macro algae, GHA, Turf algae, bubble algae, etc , etc . You don't get to pick which macro algae will win the competition.
